Who’s that* girl?

*Not to be confused with THAT girl.  You know THAT girl.  I’m here to prevent you from becoming THAT girl.

So, I’m starting this blog because everyone says I should.  I’m all about peer pressure, it just takes me a while to jump in (SEE: jeans tucked into boots, bangs, and other trends where I’m late to the party).  I’m good writer, a good friend, and an even better big sister.  I’ve been a big sister for almost 30 years, and honestly, I’m awesome at it.  Seriously.  I’m bossy, condescending, pretty much always right, and just a little uncool.  On the plus side, that makes it really easy for me to  listen to your woes, offer advice, research your dilemmas, and all the other things big sisters do.

In addition to being your awesome big sister, I’m also a Mom (of two! little girls), a Wife (to a pretty great husband), a full-time working Mom-Engineer (also known as a just an engineer), a budding Environmentalist (I have a conscience for crying out loud), and an excellent Googler (to Google is a verb, and I do it  a billion times a day).

But anyway, I’ll get to most of that eventually, and would love for you to join me along the way.   I hope that this turns into something cool and fun, and don’t intend to take it too seriously.  But.  Wouldn’t it be awesome for this to be an amazing blog, that gets turned into an even better book, and then we get all famous and invited on the talk show circuit?  And, I promise, if Matt Lauer is ever interviewing me in Studio 1A at Rockefeller Plaza (if you don’t know what or where that is, we can’t be friends), I will send some credit your way.

XO, M.
